In fact, politicians don’t care about anything except getting re-elected. Most of that is due to the two Major Political Parties. The Parties tell their members who get elected, not to work with the other Party. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard stated this directly on Joe Rogan’s Podcast.

Elected officials on both sides, are told to vote only how their Party wants them to vote. No matter how beneficial the legislation might be to the American People, if it was brought forward by the other Party, they are told not to vote for it.

This is what is commonly called, Playing Politics. Nothing comes for free. Votes can be held from passing legislation. Unless of course, the Party holding the votes wants something from the other Party. Then they can use those votes to bargain with. Even if what they want, has nothing to do with the current legislation.

It’s All About Appearances

How about a better example of how Politicians don’t actually care, even when that has been a basic part of their platform for decades? When President Trump said that he was going to start busing illegal immigrants to Sanctuary Cities, which are held by Democrats, did the Democrats cheer this move?

No! They literally said that they didn’t want these illegal immigrants in their cities. Wait, you’ve been fighting for illegal immigrants right to enter our country for decades. Now when the President wants to do exactly what you have been fighting for, you’re against it?

If it had been a Democratic President, they would have been all for it, and called it a compassionate gesture to those poor people who are only trying to find a better life. The Democrats don’t care about illegal immigrants. immigrants who aren’t and can never be Citizens can’t vote! The Democrats only care about the appearance of caring.

It’s not just the Democrats. The Republicans are just as guilty. The second you get elected, it’s all about optics. Will it look good? If not, you can’t do it, no matter how beneficial it may be. The Democrats tried to spin their opposition to busing immigrants into it being about large cities already being over crowded, but no one with any intelligence believed that.

Hoping For The Best

The Republicans refused to even start Confirmation Hearings on President Obama’s candidate for the Supreme Court. Would he have been a good choice? We’ll never know. The excuse was that the election was less than a year away, and that the American People should decide if they want a Progressive on the Court or not.

It all sounds great, but we all know they were just flexing their muscle, and hoping that a Republican was elected President. It worked out for them this time. Until it didn’t, and the American People elected a huge number of Democrats in 2018. The Senate Republicans still have the Majority, but they lost their Majority in the House.

Honestly, if the two Parties were actually interested in doing what’s right for the People, a split Congress would be the perfect outcome. Neither Party could push laws through. They would need the cooperation of the other Party. Bills that were beneficial to the American People, would easily make it to the President’s desk. Those bills that did not benefit anyone but Special Interests, would fail.

Of course, that isn’t what happens. Eventually, a Third Party will get elected in numbers big enough to make a Voting Bloc. At that time, the two Major Parties will be required to share their power. They aren’t going to like it, and are currently doing everything in their power, to see to it that it never happens.
